The MICE world will be different in 2026: while traditional conferences are losing relevance, lifestyle brands, sustainable labels and digital players are taking centre stage. They are not looking for standard solutions – but rather social experiences, genuine encounters and spaces that allow them to grow.
This is exactly where CONNECT RETREAT at Sublime Comporta comes in. Nestled between pine forests, vineyards and the wide sandy beaches of Portugal, it creates a setting that combines work and lifestyle in a special way. Twenty hand-picked event planners from Germany and hosts from all over Europe come together here to try out new forms of community and brand experience.
No conference, no stage – just outdoor dialogues, creative sessions and social dining under the stars. Sublime Comporta, itself synonymous with slow luxury and contemporary lifestyle, becomes the backdrop for new ideas, collaborations and formats that have an impact beyond the moment.

Sunday, 10 May – Urban Vibes & Localhood
Immersion in the real Lisbon.
11:00 a.m. – Brain Food & Workshop I Kick-Off at Sublime Lisboa Start the day with urban flair & Portuguese lifestyle. Get started with impact – meet people, get inspired.
1:00 p.m. – Transfer to the Oyster & Champagne Experience Arrive at the home of many Portuguese people, take a break from the hustle and bustle.
2:00–4:00 p.m. – Oyster & Champagne Experience Get to know local producers: oysters, salt and champagne right by the water – an event experience with enjoyment and a social touch.
4:00 p.m. – Transfer to Sublime Comporta Move from the city to a place of retreat.
From 7:30 p.m. – Dinner at the resort & fire talks End the day together by the fire – conversations, music, sensory impressions.
Monday, 11 May – Between Pines & Saltwater
Inspiration aus Natur, Localhood & Social Events.
Until 10:30 a.m. – Breakfast & activation for the day Recharge your batteries in tune with nature and your body.
10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. – Workshop II: Social events & real value Focus on ancillary revenue, ROI and the strategic impact of social events. How can event formats create real added value for brands, guests and hosts? Practical cases, discussions and concrete ideas for your own planning.
2:00–4:00 p.m. – Site Inspection Sublime Comporta Discover Farmers Market, design art, and slow luxury for MICE customers.
4:00–6:00 p.m. – Reflect & Relax
7:00 p.m. – Aperitif in the fishing village Hidden gem location with the best cocktails in Portugal.
From 8 p.m. – Dinner at Sado Restaurant by the river Culinary delights – light & regional.
Tuesday, 12 May – Ocean & Horizons
Movement, completion, vision.
Until 9:30 a.m. – Breakfast & Check-Out Longevity Essentials. Fueled up for the day.
10:00 a.m. – Recharge your batteries with the sound of the waves Last morning in the retreat spirit, exchange ideas and recharge your batteries.
11:00 a.m. – Beach Walk & Talk Deepening the workshop discussions with sand under your feet.
12:00 p.m. – Workshop Closing Reflection, learnings & takeaways: How can ideas from retreats & social experiences be transferred to your own event formats & placed with corporate clients?
2:00 p.m. – Lunch at the Sublime Beach Club by the sea Deepening the workshop discussions with a touch of sea breeze.
4:00 p.m. – Transfer to Lisbon Airport or individual departure
