The MICE world is reinventing itself: traditional formats are taking a back seat, while tech companies, sustainable brands and digital start-ups are looking for something different – meaning, authenticity and genuine connection.
The CONNECT RETREAT at AMA Stay South Tyrol is designed precisely for this purpose. Nestled in the Dolomites, in a house that combines work and lifestyle in a unique way, 20 hand-picked event planners and hosts from the DACH market will come together.
This is not about lectures or product shows, but about dialogue on equal terms, new ideas and shared experiences. In the inspiring setting of AMA Stay – where modern design meets alpine clarity – there is room for a change of perspective, creativity and the question of how we want to shape the future of the MICE industry.

Thursday, 12 March – Arrive & Breathe
Arrival in the Dolomites. Inspiration begins with a broad perspective.
Until 7 p.m.: Individual arrival & check-in at AMA Stay.
Beforehand: Explore the mountains go skiing, snow hiking or take a walk through the mountain village.
From 7 p.m.: Get-together dinner South Tyrolean cuisine & initial networking.
Friday, 13 March – Beyond the Summit
Event design with clarity & panoramic views
Until 9:30 a.m.: Breakfast with panoramic views & choice of activities: skiing, snow hiking, meditation or coffee with views of the Dolomites.
10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.: Workshop I: Vision for the future of MICE What we can learn from places with panoramic views and clarity: Vision as an attitude in event design and leadership.
1:00 p.m.: Business lunch at the AMA Restaurant Regional. Creative. Authentic – a culinary expression of localness.
3:00 p.m.: Walk & Talk: Experience localhood Conversations on the move on topics such as community building, host culture and sustainable MICE concepts.
7:00 p.m.: Experience Dinner: Alpine Stories South Tyrolean cuisine, design and storytelling as immersive best practice.
Saturday, 14 March – The Art of Events
Storytelling & Creative Labs as gamechangers.
Until 8:30 a.m.: Breakfast
10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.: Workshop II: Vision & Impact How storytelling and event design change pitches.
12:30 p.m.: Lunch & Learn at AlpiNN by Norbert Niederkofler Exchange ideas over regional specialties.
2:00–4:00 p.m.: Creative Lab with Paint & Connect Digital detox exercise
From 7:00 p.m.: Cabin evening An evening in the spirit of retreat: exchange, music, and conversation.
Sunday, 15 March – Reset & Connect
Reflect & recharge your batteries.
Until 9:30 a.m.: Breakfast & free start to the day.
10:00 a.m.: Action and new energy.
12:00 p.m.: Closing session: Lessons learned & takeaways for 2026.
2:00 p.m.: Networking lunch & closing.
3:00 p.m.: Departure.
